Asger Carlsen (b. 1973, lives and works in New York) started working with photography when he was 15. He has recently received critical praise for his Hester and Wrong series. He has been heralded as a formidable creator – his transgressive practice is yet to be defined. For the past 6 years he has exhibited widely in galleries and museums and was recently included in the 9.th Berlin Biennale.
