Inquiry

Art Editor at Berlingske Tidende, Holger Dahl, has visited SUBTERRANEAN HUNGER, a solo exhibition by Sara-Vide Ericson, and Shrink in an Orange Sweetness, a solo exhibition by Nanna Abell—both on view on different floors at Gammel Strand.

Despite their very different approaches—Abell’s spatial humor and Ericson’s bold painting—Dahl finds that the two exhibitions create a surprising and engaging dialogue. He notes that Gammel Strand’s focus on emerging Nordic artists is clearly paying off.

“Sara-Vide Ericson is not afraid to indulge in the great Wagnerian sentiments, with power and intense sensitivity (..) that courage and fearlessness can only be respected when performed as vividly as it is here.”—Holger Dahl for Berlingske (our translation)
