Kunsten Museum of Modern Art Aalborg acquires work by Sara-Vide Ericson for their collection

We are thrilled to announce that Leviating (2024) by Sara-Vide Ericson is now a part of Kunsten Museum of Modern Art Aalborg’s collection.

The painting was previously part of the group exhibition After the Sun at Gammel Strand, Copenhagen, Denmark.

“Leviating (…) narrates a transit zone, which in fact is a flood-land where migratory birds rest before continuing further north or south. It’s a meditation on the structure and limits of the self, a drawing of how beings are both disconnected and isolated from one another and, at the same time, defining one another” - Sara-Vide Ericson, from the exhibition catalogue of After the Sun

The acquisition of the artwork for Kunsten’s collection has been generously donated by Jens and Margit Haven Christiansen
