CHART Art Fair has teamed up with Super Vox, an online and offline content platform dedicated to art, architecture, and design, to produce a series of interviews, podcasts, talks, and videos. For this year’s CHART Art Fair 2025, Astrid Birnbaum from Super Vox met up with Frederik Nystrup-Larsen in Charlottenborg’s courtyard.

They talk about how Frederik enjoys working at the intersection of art and design - an approach reflected in his solo presentation with V1 Gallery for this year’s CHART, where his floral paintings were accompanied by handcrafted sculptural furniture and aluminum-leaf details. In this total installation, he explores our fading connection to the plant life around us, offering a thoughtful reminder of how nature continues to intertwine with the man-made, even as we grow increasingly accustomed to overlooking it.

Frederik explains how he aims to address the biodiversity crisis in a positive way, where working with and discovering endangered species become a means of reconnecting with nature.

“I would ask everyone to try to learn more about different species. I think they’d be happy!”

Frederik also talks about recent projects in Tokyo, New York and what lies ahead. Listen to the podcast here.
