Inquiry

"In the press release for Lulu Kaalund's exhibition in V1 Gallery's smaller exhibition space, Eighteen, you can read that the artist is preoccupied with emptiness in her new works. Not as an abstract concept, but in a very concrete sense: the twelve crocheted yarn works, which are strung on wooden frames with thin threads, are full of holes. Gaping absence alternates with colorful, crocheted abstractions, held together by cords with beads, which give the works a spider web-like appearance"
