V1 Gallery introduces a series of studio views that allows you to have a sneak peak into the everyday life of the artists we work with. We ask them a few questions about what they are working on and what inspires them. The features are accompanied by photos from their studios. We will post a new feature every month beginning with artist HuskMitNavn:
What are you working on:
– Right now I’m working on a lot of different things at the same time: New paintings for an art fair, sketches for some new lithographies, my next solo show at V1 Gallery in October, different sketches for upcoming mural projects, the folded/3D drawings I make whenever I have a spare moment and a lot of other stuff.
What are you listening to:
– I’m listening to a bit of music when I’m writing emails (50% of my job, sigh..) and audiobooks when I’m painting and drawing. I can hear 2-4 audiobooks in one week. The last audiobooks I have heard are: ‘Håbet’ by Mick Vraa, ‘Hvis der skulle komme et menneske forbi’ by Thomas Korsgaard, ‘Det forsømte forår’ by Hans Scherfig, ‘The grapes of wrath’ by John Steinbeck. All highly recommendable.
What are you looking at: (TV, ART, BOOKS, NATURE etc)
– I look too much at the internet, like everyone else, and I try to look a lot at my surroundings, the people passing me by, the houses, my family, everything.
