Søren Behncke’s exhibition Mash-Up – Banale Intimiteter at Museum Jorn continues through December 8.

Following the heritage of Asger Jorn and Situationist International, Søren Behncke re-visits Jorn’s former studios and archives. Where Jorn used overpainting (modifications) and décollage as an aesthetic mix for creating a revolutionary, new, and unique expression based on the art and activities of others, Behncke holds his own signature mash-up technique; a unique, complex, yet banal mix of action and imagery, a paraphrase of and homage to the great modernist painters, yet reimagined within a contemporary visuality, which culminates with the exhibition at Museum Jorn.
