V1 Gallery is pleased to release two new very limited silkscreen prints by Devin Troy Strother, hand pulled in Copenhagen, in two glossy color versions: purple/gold and black/holographic. In a mosaic of fragmented sketches of cartoonish heads and Nike logos, it combines the sensitivity of the drawing with the visceral and chaotic nature of Strother’s agit-graffiti and cut-out collage paintings. Drawing on various positions and strategies – from performance to pop art – the reflective surfaces compete for the viewer’s attention. Created on the occasion of Strother’s current solo exhibition I’m just a painter and all i have is paint and maybe a lil bit of hope at Eighteen. Limited edition of 45 in each color version, signed and numbered en verso by the artist.
Available in V1 Gallery and online at V1 Gallery Store
