Friday April 17, 6PM (UK Time) 1854 Media and The British Journal of Photography presents a free live stream talk with renowned Danish photojournalist Peter Funch.
Funch combines shrewd social commentary with a distinct cinematic style. Currently residing in Berlin, Funch works internationally across books, exhibitions, editorial and advertising, combining technical perfection with Nordic calmness and a touch of dry humour. His work can be found in public collections including V&A (London), The National Museum of Photography (Copenhagen) and New York Public Library.
In this exclusive talk, Funch discusses his approach to working within restrictions – from his celebrated past projects “42nd & Vanderbilt” and “Babel Tales” to ongoing endeavours of domestic still lifes and capturing human behaviour in public.
