NEW RELEASE – SILKSCREEN PRINT BY RYAN SCHNEIDER AT V1 GALLERY ONLINE STORE

V1 Gallery Online Store is pleased to announce the release of Modernist Painting, a limited-edition silkscreen print by Ryan Schneider, as finissage of the exhibition No Filter Eden at V1 Gallery. 

Schneider’s radiant body of work revere symbols of his life in Joshua Tree, California. Conveying the natural life that appears in the desert area, Schneider lends an almost primitive aesthetic to this imagined still life. Simple shapes and spatial manipulation allows the tableau of fruit, coffee and cigarettes on the mosaic tabletop to merge into the background. The inanimate subject appears as a pattern of distinctive contrasts between vivid colours and deep darkened contours. Schneider revives the modernist still life and renders the everyday moment with vibrant energy. 

Modernist Painting is based on Schneider’s painting of the same title from 2010.
