HESSELHOLDT & MEJLVANG LESS POWER LESS PERFORMANCE AT COPENHAGEN CONTEMPORARY

The opening of In Focus: Statements was kick-started by a small 5 hours performance by artist duo Hesselholdt & Mejlvang on the slope behind Copenhagen Contemporary, Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 1:30PM. Dressed in ancient Greek garb like goddesses, they lifted tyres with their bare hands, to spell the words LESS POWER LESS. A realm that was formerly white, feminine, and pure becomes a raw, dirty, masculine scene. The remains has become a site specific land art installation, on view at the slope until August 30, 2020.
