She has always been fascinated by the mysterious and labyrinthine worlds of Piranesi from the 18th century. Last year she followed in his footsteps through the streets of Rome. Wednesday February 23, 5pm, SMK presents an artist talk with Klara Lilja in conversation with SMK’s Mette Houlberg Rung on the occasion of their current Piranesi exhibition. Like Piranesi, Klara Lilja draws inspiration from her own age in the form of computer games and comic books, but also from the myths, alchemy and fairy tales of the past.
