"The art fairs Chart at Charlottenborg and Enter Art Fair at Lokomotivværkstedet have just gathered thousands for gallery art, talks and performance. If you missed this year's big art weekend in Copenhagen, the galleries are booming with great exhibitions

V1 Gallery and the owner, Jesper Elg, have - in addition to a strong portfolio of Danish artists such as Rose Eken, HuskMitNavn and Thomas Øvlisen - specialized in exciting North American visual artists. Until 23 September, Canadian Geoff McFetridge is showing his drawings and paintings in Kødbyen(literally “the meat city” but means “the meat packing district”) in Copenhagen. In the exhibition "The Organic Interface", the 52-year-old visual artist, who lives in Los Angeles, examines how images can explain and communicate the thoughts that have not yet turned into realizations. It sounds a bit convoluted, but McFetridge is a superb painter who can both be an esthetician and create interesting and fairly simple visual expressions. It is the fifth time that McFetridge, who also works with sculpture, ceramics and animation, has exhibited at V1 Gallery. And it probably won't be the last time"
