Mads Hilbert, born 1993 in Helsinge, lives and works in Copenhagen hold a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from Funen Art Academy. Hilbert’s paintings which use washy brush strokes to construct ornamental and loosely architectural abstractions allow your eyes to breathe for a moment. His practice revolves around the incomplete; the tense transition between sketch and finished work. In this border zone there is a special openness where intuition, spontaneity and empathy can find space.
